Summer School & Workshops

We offer a range of brilliant, practical Workshops in Acting & Directing:

Summer School

Whether you are contemplating a career in the performing arts or just wanting to develop your skills, the Summer School is the perfect place.

“Everything important to the creation of character and good acting can be found here.” Richard Brake (Game of Thrones, Batman Begins…).

You will learn more about acting in two weeks on this course than at any other school.  You will also have an experience of life in a drama school and so know whether it is the right choice for you.

Each day starts with an hour of yoga and is followed by classes in the Science of Acting, Dance, Voice & Singing, all taught by very experienced professionals.

Dates 2019: 24th June – 5th July, 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri

Tuition: £700 for the whole 2 week course (or £650 if taken with another summer workshop)

Acting for Camera Workshop

A workshop combining an introduction to The Science of Acting™ with the technical skills needed in front of a camera, whether for film or television. An overview of how a shoot works with vital insights into how best to prepare yourself for any schedule, any character and any filming scenario.

Of course the key to creating a character and giving a consistent performance within the context of the story lies in the Science of Acting technique, just ask Science of Acting student and screen-acting luminary Eddie Marsan… ‘I owe my career to Sam Kogan (founder of The Science of Acting™ and the School) … his teachings which are clear, distinct and inspirational have been the bedrock of my professional life.’

Dates 2019: 8th – 19th July,  8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri

Tuition: £750 (£650 if taken with another Workshop)

Science of Acting Workshop

This is an unmissable introduction to the heart of what we teach at our Academy. Developed by Sam Kogan: a graduate of The Moscow Institute of Theatre Arts, himself taught by Konstantin Stanislavski’s colleague Maria Knebel, The Science of Acting is a comprehensive, revolutionary and life-changing technique.

“Finally I understand what acting is” – Davor, Workshop Participant

Dates 2019: 8th – 12th July or 2nd – 6th September,  8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri

Tuition: £350 (£300 if taken with another Workshop)
